Supporting Crossroads for Women in This Difficult Time
MONCTON, December 8, 2020 – In a year of unprecedented changes, we are adapting our holiday traditions as well. Every year we look forward to welcoming familiar faces at our yearly holiday reception. This festive gathering brings together our clients, vendors, and industry contacts, giving us the chance to connect and celebrate another year gone by. Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we are not hosting our much-anticipated Moncton holiday client reception for 2020.
This year has been difficult for many, but especially so for Crossroads for Women.
Crossroads for Women assists women and children by providing safe housing, education, counselling, and support in times of crisis. Like many domestic violence shelters across the country, they experienced a spike in demand this year. With resources strained, they are operating at or over capacity with the need for more beds, rooms, and other crucial updates.
In lieu of our 2020 holiday reception, we decided to redirect funds as a donation to Crossroads for Women. We hope to assist the expansion of their operations and support the essential work they do for our community in Moncton.
