A New Chapter Begins at the Rossmount Inn
Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic brokers the sale of the iconic St. Andrews hospitality property and 82.5 acres of land
Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic is pleased to announce the successful disposition of the Rossmount Inn and surrounding lands in St. Andrews by-the-Sea, New Brunswick. The landmark hospitality property has transitioned from longtime owners Chris and Graziella Aerni to Alicia and Ryan MacDonald, marking a thoughtful and community-minded next chapter for one of the region’s most celebrated destinations.
For more than two decades, Chris and Graziella Aerni built the Rossmount Inn into a nationally recognized hospitality experience, known for its refined cuisine, attentive service, and distinctive setting at the base of Chamcook Mountain. Their stewardship established the Inn as both a culinary destination and a treasured part of the St. Andrews community.
The transfer of ownership reflects more than a change in title. The Aernis entrusted the Rossmount to Alicia and Ryan MacDonald, whose deep local roots and proven leadership across multiple regional ventures aligned closely with the values and vision that have defined the property. The MacDonalds are well known for their work through Disher Homes in St. Stephen, The Hollows Golf Club, and The Rouxbarb Restaurant in Utopia.
Under new ownership, guests can expect continuity in the quality, hospitality, and character that have long defined the Rossmount Inn. Alicia and Ryan bring fresh perspective and long-term commitment while maintaining respect for the Inn’s history, its role within the community, and its natural surroundings. Public access to the carriage trail leading to the summit of Chamcook Mountain will remain available, reinforcing that commitment to shared stewardship of the land.
“We are thrilled to see the Rossmount begin this exciting new chapter,” said Chris and Graziella Aerni. “Alicia and Ryan’s energy, integrity, and connection to this region make them exceptional stewards of the property. We look forward to supporting them through a smooth transition and watching the Rossmount continue to thrive.”
The transaction included the Rossmount Inn and approximately 82.5 acres of land. Stephanie Turner, Associate Vice-President with Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic, represented the Seller and brokered the commercial real estate transaction.
The Rossmount Inn remains a cornerstone of hospitality in St. Andrews by-the-Sea, with its legacy firmly intact and its future guided by local vision and care.
