BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend

NS-HHW-WEB-BANNER-2015

April 24th – 26th in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hosted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and presented by Medavie Blue Cross, BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend will take place April 24-26, 2015 at the BMO Centre in Halifax. The event offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play hockey with NHL alumni. Some of the greatest NHL heroes have shared the ice with BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend participants – Ray Bourque, Theo Fleury, Marty McSorley, Al Iafrate, Gary Leeman and many more – and each year we ensure an unforgettable line-up – and event – for participants, sponsors, and the province.

In April 2011, the puck dropped for the first time at the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend. Since then, the event has hosted 58 alumni, over 800 participants, and over 150 volunteers, and raised in excess of $1,500,000.00 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Funds raised from BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend support life-saving research and programs to address heart disease and stroke in Nova Scotia.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation wants to give Canadians longer, fuller lives. Join a team today and help us bring more survivors home to their families and loved ones.

How it works:

  • Recruit a team of colleagues, friends or a mix of both, or join an existing team looking for players
  • Each team is asked to raise a minimum of $16,000 to participate, or approximately $1,000 per person. The top fundraising team has first choice of NHL alumni players at the Friday night team draft.

In support of BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend we are selling 50/50 tickets. Tickets are $10 each and there is a chance to win up to $50,000! You can purchase tickets through any registered teams or by contacting Vanessa at [email protected]. Thank you for your support!
