Sponsor of Habitat for Humanity’s ManUP Initiative
$25,000 for the Drysdale Community Development
As Chair of the Board for Habitat for Humanity, our Managing Director, Bill MacAvoy. along with our team is pleased to support Habitat for Humanity’s 2016 ManUp Fundraiser. Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia is challenging 25 men to raise $25,000 for the Drysdale Community Development in the inaugural year of encouraging men to Man Up and build a house! These brave men will spend a day on one of our Halifax build-sites and put hammer to nail and literally help build a home for a deserving Nova Scotia family. Each participant will contribute $1,000!
Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia builds simple, decent, affordable homes for Nova Scotia families in need. They make home ownership a reality for many who would otherwise be unable to own their own homes and who need a “hand up” through no-down-payment, no-interest mortgages on homes built by volunteers using donated materials and services. They believe that by building strong, stable homes, we are building strong, stable communities. Through home ownership, they empower our Partner Families to create better lives for themselves and their children.
