About Melissa

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic, Melissa worked at one of the largest full-service law firms in Atlantic Canada to help catapult and elevate their visual brand. Additionally she was former Account Manager at a local advertising agency overseeing multi tier marketing campaigns for clients in diverse industries in the private and public sector. Her background is grounded in professional services, where she’s spent most of her career. Melissa graduated from Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Commerce Co-op program with a double major in Marketing Management and Marketing Logistics.

Melissa Gilbert serves as Chief Operating Officer for Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic providing oversight across four offices throughout Atlantic Canada. Her role spans marketing, operations, compliance, technology, human resources, and internal coordination, with a consistent focus on execution, alignment, and organizational performance.

Melissa has played a key role in several of the firm’s most significant and complex assignments, consistently contributing strategic insight, creativity, and executional excellence. She’s worked closely with the sales team on strategy, vision, administrative support and cutting-edge marketing materials for the disposition of large retail assets including a landmark sale and a high-profile, historically significant property.

Beyond her role in the office, she is deeply involved in both the commercial real estate industry and charitable initiatives, including the Caring and Sharing Angel Tree Christmas program. She serves as Vice-President of the Atlantic Women in Commercial Real Estate (AWCRE), an organization dedicated to advancing women in the commercial real estate industry across Atlantic Canada.

Outside of work Melissa is an avid golfer, something she’s done since a young age taking after her father. She spends most of her spare time with her friends and family including her two young children and husband who are the centre of her world.
